Days 1-2: Your journey begins in Namibia’s laid-back capital, Windhoek, where you’ll be welcomed at the airport and transferred to Galton House. This first evening is all about settling in and getting briefed on the adventure ahead by your private Naturalist Guide. Days 2-4: Head southwest into the iconic Namib Desert, a land of otherworldly beauty where burnt-orange dunes rise against deep blue skies. Over two nights at Dead Valley Lodge, you’ll explore this surreal landscape with your guide—visiting the ancient, sun-scorched clay pan of Deadvlei, the towering dunes of Sossusvlei, and the dramatic Sesriem Canyon. Days 4-6: Travel through ever-changing desert terrain to the coastal town of Swakopmund, where ocean breezes and German colonial charm provide a refreshing contrast to the desert heat. Here, you’ll join a full-day 4x4 expedition into the wild dunes of Sandwich Harbour with local experts—discovering salt pans, flamingo-filled lagoons, and dramatic desert-meets-sea scenery. Days 6-8: Venture into remote Damaraland, a rugged region of rocky outcrops, desert plains, and ancient riverbeds. Along the way, visit the haunting Zeila shipwreck and pass Namibia’s highest peak, the Brandberg. Spend two nights at a secluded wilderness camp, where you’ll track free-roaming desert-adapted black rhinos with skilled local trackers and take in epic views during nature drives. Days 8-10: Your final safari destination is Etosha, one of Southern Africa’s premier wildlife reserves.
